Don Heim is the president of Ramsay, Scarlett & Co., a family owned transportation company which is currently involved in stevedoring. The company formerly had subsidiaries in intermodal trucking, warehousing, transportation brokerage, and hospitality. Prior to becoming president, he served as the company’s chief financial officer. 

Professor Heim began his career with the Davison Chemical Division of W. R. Grace & Co., a Fortune 500 company, and held a number of financial positions with the company including director of financial services. 

Heim has a B.S. in commerce and engineering from Drexel University, a M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School and earned a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license from the State of Maryland.

He and his wife, Carolyn, have three adult children and live in Maryland.
