Scholar Practitioner Fellow
Beatriz Lopez Bonetti is a Busch School Scholar-Practitioner Fellow and is currently pursuing a PhD in the area of Marketing at Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business. She is also a Media Fellow with the Institute for Human Ecology (IHE) overseeing marketing strategies for the institute.
She joined The Catholic University of America in 2011 to help launch the M.A. degrees in Integral Economic Development Management and Policy, providing leadership and direction as Program Director. In 2013, she became the Director of Public Relations for the newly formed Busch School of Business. In this capacity, she successfully led the school's overall strategy for branding, communications, media outreach, marketing, and event planning, in support of its unique mission in service to the economy and the human person.
Mrs. Lopez Bonetti started her career in Logistics managing production and export sales within the Mills and Cardboard Division of Smurfit-Kappa Venezuela to clients from North, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. She then managed shipment logistics for the Latin American market for the Smurfit Kappa Group. Mrs. Lopez Bonetti also specializes in marketing research and has conducted qualitative and quantitative tests and statistical analysis to identify product appeal, customer content preference, and consumer behavior for use in company product and market strategy development for several organizations including Nielsen Media Research. She directed and executed marketing research, strategic planning, budgeting and monetary goals for a start-up organization which led to the development of breakthrough technology seeking protection of families from harmful media. She managed relationships with national membership organizations including family, religious and civic groups using the collected market data to execute integrated communications and outreach plans to ensure strategic communications with their audiences. Additionally, she collaborated on the writing and design of corporate communications that helped raise nearly $4 million in investment capital.
She lives in Maryland with her husband and six young children.
