Prof. Francisco J. Lara is Associate Professor and Associate Director of FBC (Family Business Consortium) at the Busch School of Business, specializing in Talent Management, Entrepreneurship, and International Business.

Prof. Lara's academic interests lay at the area of Talent Management, Family Business and Entrepreneurship. His current work explores the relations of entrepreneurship coopetition of talent management within the startups, family business and incubators ecosystems, with a focus on cross-cultural management similarities and differences. He is presently leading the school's efforts in the emerging field of Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition.

Prof. Lara's research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals like the *Journal of Business Research*, *International Entrepreneurship Management Journal*, *Management Decision*, *Employee Relations*, among others.

Prof. Lara is also a board member of European Financial Planning Association (EFPA) at the Ethics Committee. He serves as an independent board member in several startups, where he is a proactive Angel Investor through their Family Office, Lagar Brothers.

Prof. Lara holds a Juris Degree in Business Law from the University of Navarra (Spain), an Executive Master Degree in Human Resource Management from Garrigues Law School, an Executive Program of Leadership in Public Management from IESE Business School in Madrid, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Universidad Politécnica of Valencia (Spain).
