   Your Advisor "To-Do" List  - You will need to have meeting availability for **March 23 - April 24**. Your goal is 45 hours over those 5 weeks.    Registration Timeline  ### Fall 2026 Enrollment Appointments 

- University Honors Program/Priority Registration: Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 a.m.
- 72+ credits earned\*: Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00 a.m.
- 39-71.99 credits earned\*: Thursday, April 16 at 7:00 a.m.
- 0-38.99 credits earned\*: Tuesday, April 21 at 7:00 a.m.
- Open Enrollment (continuing non-degree students and new transfer students): Wednesday, April 29 7:00 a.m.
- New first-year students: Mid-June

   Meeting Checklist  ### **Before:**

- Remind the student to come prepared. The [Course Planning &amp; Registration](https://business.catholic.edu/academics/academic-services/planning/index.html) page has all the information students need to build their course schedule.
- Review students' Academic Planning Worksheet (they were sent to you by Academic Services) for key info like: Math and foreign language placement, specializations, credits completed and missing requirements.

### **During:** 

- Record notes in Appointment Report in [Cardinal Success](http://cardinalsuccess.cua.edu/).
- Advising Meeting Checklist
    1. Review expected graduation term and which degree requirements are unfulfilled.
    2. Compare that to how many credits remain to reach 120.
    3. Scan the free elective to see if any **transfer credits** can fulfill a liberal arts requirement.
    4. Does student need Career Discernment exemptions?
    5. Review: Foreign language placement status.
    6. Review: Math placement status.
    7. Review Specialization status.
    8. Review registration appointment date (by credits).

### **After:** 

- Save Appointment Report in Cardinal Success, including key info:
    - Selected courses
    - Key info on student to remember
    - Action items like: forms to submit, offices to contact
- If necessary, refer student to campus resources
    - Submit alerts

 

 

   Degree Progress  - Students should verify that enrolled courses fulfill degree requirements. To help answer questions, you can track their degree progress with their Academic Planning Worksheet. 
    - Comparing their courses taken to [degree and specialization requirements](/current-students/academic-services/degree-requirements "Degree Requirements"), [liberal arts requirements](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WXG_sc31wxZFEPIW3qDxGUdJgc0_VTjyst2W_KPbaCA/edit), etc. can all be done by filling out an Academic Planning Worksheet.
    - Students will need to consult the corresponding department for advising on non-business minors.
