  • Resume and Cover Letters

Let’s face it. We all need to have a clean resume and a strong cover letter in order to land our dream job, no matter who we know! We know starting from scratch when working on these documents is not preferable. The Office of Career Development has tailored two downloadable documents that you can access. We have a resume template, that has been approved by our network of employers, as well as a cover letter template that explains how best to highlight your experiences and noteworthy achievements.
  • Walk-Ins

Want to drop in and ask the Career Coach a question about your resume, cover letter, or job search? No need to make an appointment, just show up with your document or question in hand!

15-minute walk-ins, 2:00-4:00 pm on Wednesdays in the Busch School Student Experience Lounge.

  • Coaching Appointments

Want to set up a Career Coaching Appointment to lay out a roadmap for your future career? Want to learn more about the career paths available to you based on your major? Perhaps you don’t know which major to choose and are simply wanting to know more.

  • Internship and Job Search

We suggest that prior to beginning your online job or internship search, you start by doing a self-evaluation about what your interests, skills, and values are related to a career. An online search can be much more efficient if you don’t go searching for yourself on the internet.

If you are ready to search for available internships or jobs, and know what you’re looking for, we suggest you begin on Catholic U’s tailored job board called Handshake. If you haven’t yet created a profile as a CUA student, be sure to log in here.  Another great resource for your search is Linkedin. Also, if you know of a company in mind, that doesn’t have any positions posted on Handshake or LinkedIn, reach out to career-development@cua.edu and we will check our alumni database to see if there is someone we can connect you with to learn more, despite the lack of available positions!
