Registering for Classes: Your Enrollment Guide
Course Planning
Step One: Select your classes
Check your degree requirements and individual progress.
- Students receive an Academic Planning Worksheet by email from Busch Academic Services and should bookmark the link for future reference.
- The general outline for all degree requirements is listed here.
Step Two: Validate your shopping cart
- Add your desired courses to your shopping cart.
- Create a visual of a few class schedule options by using Coursicle
- Double check that your selected courses fulfill your Degree Requirements, and use our NEW prerequisite guide to plan business courses.
- Be sure to validate your shopping cart before registration day.
- If one or more of your courses require department consent, reach out to the department before registration day.
For other registration issues, contact the appropriate office:
- Business courses: submit the Class Registration Help Form.
- Non-business courses: contact the appropriate department, listed here.
- Check and find out how to remove any “Holds” on Cardinal Students.
Step Three: Meet with your advisor
- Look out for an email to schedule a meeting with your Faculty Advisor (listed in Cardinal Success). Bring the list of courses you planned and your questions.

- Dates are based on your credit-hours completed, not your admit term. This does not include the courses you are currently taking.

Step Two: Enroll in Cardinal Students
- Register for your next semester on Cardinal Students during your official class registration day!
Step Three: Plan for deadlines
- Look up other registration deadlines using the university’s Academic Calendar.
