Grounded in the Catholic intellectual tradition, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program integrates rigorous business education with a strong foundation in ethics, virtue, and the dignity of the human person. Students are challenged not only to master core business disciplines — such as finance, marketing, accounting, and management — but also to understand the broader purpose of business as a force for good in society.

Curriculum

The BSBA curriculum combines a comprehensive liberal arts education with professional training, fostering critical thinking, effective communication, and sound decision-making. Through small class sizes and mentorship from faculty with real-world experience, students receive personalized guidance throughout their academic journey.

Requirements Overview

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration students are required to:

  • Complete 120 credit-hours (typically 40 courses of 3 credit-hours)
  • Satisfy a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA) for courses taken at the University
  • Satisfy all requirements of the University’s Liberal Arts Curriculum (see here)
  • Complete the Career Discernment Program
  • Satisfy degree-specific requirements of a program, including core courses, major courses, math/statistics courses, elective courses, comprehensive assessments, etc.
  • Complete all major-specific course requirements, math courses, and ENG 101 with a grade of C- or higher
  • Complete a senior year comprehensive assessment
Choosing Specializations for Your Degree

We offer 11 specializations and co-specializations total to choose from in the BSBA. 

  • The following specializations can be pursued on their own or in combination: Marketing, Sales, Finance, Markets and Political Economy, International Business, People and Organizations, Technology and Operations Management.
  • The following co-specializations, if selected, must be taken alongside a specialization: Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Data Analytics for Business, Sports Management.
Career Discernment Program

The Career Discernment Program emphasizes professional and personal development. All business students must complete the program.

  • Students register for a course according to grade level:
  • Transfer students begin the program at the grade level they enter the University.
  • All courses are pass/fail.
  • All courses are 1 credit hour.
  • Credits earned do not fulfill Business Elective requirements.

4+1 MBA Program

Students in the BSBA program have the opportunity to pursue a 4+1 pathway to also earn an MBA. Undergraduate students in this pathway take MBA courses alongside their undergraduate studies and can finish earning their MBA in less than 1 year following graduation.
