Lauren White, CatholicU '24, is an Accounting student from Howard County, MD. She accepted a job as an Audit Staff at Deloitte and Touche LLP. 

Briefly describe your new job opportunity.

"I will begin as an Audit Staff member working in the Financial Services Industry on a major client for the office."

How did your Busch School and Catholic University education help you find this career path?

"The Busch School Accounting department helped me prepare for interviews, develop the necessary grit and passion for Accounting, and helped me throughout the internship/job search process."

What activities were you involved in during undergrad?

"I have been a Resident Assistant for 3 years, I work in Dr. Kilpatrick's office as an office assistant, I am a 3-year member of the Dean's Student Advisory Council, and I am a Student Experience Intern for the Busch School of Business. In addition to this, I attend other clubs and their meetings!"

What were some highlights of your time at Catholic University?

"One of my highlights was attending a Habitat for Humanity trip to Goose Creek, South Carolina being able to serve a family and being surrounded by love. Another highlight was MC-ing and attending the Busch School of Business 10th Anniversary reception in December 2023."

What advice do you have for students during their job search? 

"My biggest piece of advice is to rely on the Lord! What is meant for you will be for you. Just because you did not get an opportunity you thought would have been perfect isn't the end of the world. Sometimes the greatest blessings are waiting for us and a few disappointments along the way help us appreciate them!"
