Everyone at the Catholic University of America recognizes the importance that graduation holds for our students and their families, and we know the tremendous sense of pride that accompanies Commencement. Logistics Questions

  • Are there tickets or RSVPs required for the graduation and diploma ceremonies?

    No, there are no tickets or RSVPs required.
  • What guests should I bring with me?

    We recommend bringing immediate family, however, you are welcome to bring whomever you'd like.
  • Where should I park?

    We recommend taking an uber or using the metro if possible. If you are driving, the following locations will be open: Shrine Parking lot, DuFour parking lot or street parking along John McCormack Road.
  • How should we navigate Nursing construction?

    All are encouraged to walk from the Basilica Lawn to the Pryzbyla Center and walk along the far side of the Crough building to arrive at Maloney Hall.
  • How should handicap individuals navigate?

    There will be shuttles running for those who need assistance.

Schedule Questions

  • What time should I arrive to the Basilica Lawn?

    All candidates for degrees are asked to assemble no later than 9:00 a.m.For additional information on the Commencement Exercises, please visit the University Commencement Page.
  • When should I arrive to the Busch School diploma ceremony?

    The Busch School diploma ceremony will run in shifts by degree and specialization between 11:45 AM -2:30 PM. You will receive an email with your specific arrival time in the coming weeks. Check back for final details by May 2.
  • How do I know which specialization grouping I am in?

    All undergraduate students will meet with Dean Kim between April 11-29. During this meeting, you will indicate which group you will walk with. Confirmation emails will be sent the week of May 2 with your time slot included. Please schedule a meeting with Dean Kim through Cardinal Success if you have yet to meet with her.
  • Will there be a rehearsal for the Busch School Diploma Ceremony?

    Yes, all graduating BSA, BSBA, and MSB students will meet in the Della Ratta Auditorium on Thursday, May 12th at 11:00 AM for an overview of the graduation and diploma ceremonies. Lunch will be provided.
