The Impacts of the Election and COVID-19 on Year-End Tax, Estate, and Gift Planning webinar was hosted on Thursday, December 3rd, 5:30 EDT to 6:30 EDT.
The purpose of the webinar was to inform listeners of what they need to know for year-end (and beyond) tax, estate, and gift planning. The webinar was framed around 3 recent developments: the SECURE Act, the CARES Act (many provisions expiring at Dec 31), and the effects of President-elect Biden's proposed tax changes. The panelists included: Lynn Gaumer, Senior Technical Consultant at the Stelter Company, Parker Griffin, Vice President of Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley & Adjunct in the Columbus School of Law, and Larry Lipoff, Director of Trusts & Estates at CohnReznick. Dr. Irene Kim, Finance Director and Associate Professor at the Busch School, moderated the event.
