Katherine-Elizabeth Ma '26 is a Finance and Operations Management student from Charlotte, NC. She shares why she chose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School, and what advice she has for prospective students.
Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School?
"I chose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School because it offered me the ability to grow mentally and spiritually. My academics are helping me grow intellectually and the virtues taught in the class and displayed by my professors are enlightening me to engage a deeper meaning to pursuing a life in the business world."
Why do you want to be in the business world?
"Like our Dean of the Business School often reminds his students, I want to be a force for the good. The business world needs people who desire to help and serve others and I hope that I will be able to achieve this in the vocation I am called towards."
What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?
"I love being a student in the Busch school and attending events sponsored by business corporations in the DC area. In addition, I love being involved in the Catholic University community as a Busch School ambassador, an athlete on the rowing team and a cellist in the university symphony orchestra."
What advice would you give to prospective students?
"In addition to your academics, it's important to be a well-rounded person. Whether you enjoy playing sports, participating in a club, volunteering, or pursuing a hobby, I encourage you find something you love to do!"
