Dr. Juan Jose DaBoub spoke to Busch School Students at a recent CEO Lecture. Dr. Daboub is the chairman and CEO of the Daboub Partnership and vice chairman of the Dorado Group. He is the founding CEO of the Global Adaptation Institute and a former managing director of the World Bank, where he oversaw operations in 110 countries. Previously, he served as El Salvador’s Minister of Finance and Chief of Staff to the president. His career spans leadership in private sector businesses, utilities, and telecommunications, where he led privatization and market liberalization efforts.

The speaker discussed his rise to these powerful positions in business, as well as how he played a key role in economic reforms and post-earthquake reconstruction. Having witnessed the suffering of his native country firsthand, he reminded the students of the importance of making ethical business decisions no matter how established one is in a career.
