Kaitlin Patt is a Junior Sales and Marketing student from Wakefield, Massachusetts. She shares why she chose Catholic University and the Busch School and the advice she has for prospective students.

Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School?

"I chose Catholic University and the Busch School because I saw a unique opportunity to study business in a values-driven environment that aligns with my personal and professional goals. The emphasis on ethical business practices and community engagement resonates deeply with me. The curriculum at the Busch School, which includes hands-on courses in marketing and sales, has been invaluable in preparing me for the real world. I knew that attending Catholic University would allow me to grow not only as a professional but also as a person of integrity and purpose."

Why do you want to be part of the business world?

"My experiences as a Sales Intern, Marketing Intern, and freelance business owner have demonstrated the significant impact that business can have on people's lives. The business world offers a platform to influence and connect with others, whether through effective marketing, sales strategies, or the provision of valuable services. I am particularly motivated by the challenge of creating innovative solutions and building meaningful relationships, which is why I am drawn to a career in sales and marketing. Through my time at the Busch School, I have come to see business as a means to create a positive impact, and I look forward to contributing to this dynamic industry."

What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?

"My favorite aspect of being a student at Catholic University is the strong sense of community and the extensive support network. Being part of the swim team, the Sales Program, and the Real Estate Club has allowed me to connect with fellow students and faculty who share similar values and aspirations. My role as a Sales Ambassador has been especially rewarding, as it enables me to represent the Sales Program at important events and network with corporate partners. Each of these experiences has enriched my journey and deepened my love for Catholic University."

What advice would you give to prospective students?

"My advice to prospective students is to get involved early and take full advantage of the resources available at Catholic University. Join clubs that align with your interests, connect with faculty, and seek out mentorship opportunities. Being proactive in your education—whether by participating in events or pursuing internships—will help you grow both academically and personally. Don’t hesitate to ask for help, and make the most of your time here; these connections and experiences will be invaluable as you embark on your career."
