Blog post by student Kenia Cedillos, Marketing and Sales Major, 2026:

At Catholic University's Busch School of Business, we are excited to announce our upcoming Business Clothing Drive, which is inspired by our mission to lead with light. This effort aims to help students, faculty, and staff who require professional clothes for interviews, internships, and job placements. Donating gently used business apparel will help your fellow students, instructors, and staff in presenting themselves professionally and creating a good first impression in their future career goals.

The drive will take place at different collecting locations on campus, making it easier for everyone to contribute. We are looking for contributions of shoes, skirts, ties, blouses, suits, and more. Your donations will ensure that students, faculty, and staff who need them have access to the resources they need. Your contribution can make a major impact on someone's career, giving them the confidence and attire they need to succeed.
Join us in this community-driven effort to lead with light and support one another. By working together, we can create an encouraging and positive environment where all students, professors, and staff can succeed. Let us work together as a university community to make this clothing drive a huge success and pave the road for future leaders.

Catholic U's Cardinal Closet

We take pride in collecting business attire and ensuring it reaches students, faculty, and staff who need it, helping them look professional and confident.

Every Piece of Clothing Counts

Our community puts time and effort into every piece of business attire they collect. They are not just gathering clothes, they’re supporting the future of Catholic students, faculty, and staff through their efforts.

Collected With Care

Each piece of clothing has its own story. From that first interview to the start of a new career, every item holds the power to inspire confidence and opportunities. At Catholic University, our community comes together with generosity and care to offer professional attire, making sure everyone has the opportunity to dress for success.

Our Clothing Drive
Although positive environmental impacts are necessary and beneficial, the support clothing drives give to communities is direct and can make long-lasting changes. Donating your clothes to those who are less fortunate within your community promotes growth and togetherness.

Donation Guidelines:

Our community is dedicated to providing the highest quality clothing for the students, faculty, and staff. We kindly ask that all donations be:

  • Clean
  • In good condition
  • Free of stains/smell

Please avoid donating clothing with tears, stains, holes, broken zippers, or missing buttons, as well as shoes.

What to Donate:

  • Gently used business attire: Professional clothing for all ages and genders, including suits, pants, shirts, blazers, dresses, sweaters, and more.
  • Accessories: Ties, belts, and other items that add the finishing touch to a professional appearance.

Ways to donate:

  • Look for designated donation bins in Maloney Hall, Pryzbyla Center, Opus, Garvey Hall, and DuFour Center.
  • Drive dates: March 17-26th.

We invite you to join our growing community in supporting the Business Clothing Drive at Catholic University. Donate your gently used professional attire and spread the word to help others build a wardrobe for success. Thank you for being a part of our mission. Together, we can help others dress for success.
