The Master of Business Administration (MBA) remains the most popular graduate degree in the U.S., with over 500 schools offering programs. A growing number of Catholic universities are now providing MBA options that integrate Catholic social teaching and ethics. This list of institutions now includes the recently AACSB-accredited Catholic University of America Busch School of Business.
The Busch School of Business will launch its first MBA in August 2025, with an online version to follow in January 2026. The MBA Program is a 9-month, 36-credit, accelerated program for recent graduates (<5 years of experience), including an internship and a study-abroad capstone. Tuition is $1,385 per credit, plus additional fees for the capstone. The program emphasizes a “business as a force for good” philosophy and integrates Catholic Social Doctrine into all of its coursework. Graduates will receive both an MBA and a certificate in a chosen specialization (e.g., strategic management, data analytics, or church administration).
Administrators at The Busch School stress the importance of forming ethical leaders who succeed professionally while remaining grounded in Catholic values and moral integrity.
“Some parts of accounting — for example, debits and credits — aren’t going to change much,” said Dean Andrew Abela. “But when you start to think about the various principles you use in accounting — when you come close to any sort of ethical questions — then it really matters, making sure you understand who the human person is.”
