Students Step Into Their Futures at Career Networking Night

On October 20th, the Busch School Office of Career Development brought together students, alumni, faculty, and employer partners for an inspiring evening of career preparation and connection. Students were able to practice their interviewing skills through mock interviews and received personalized feedback from professionals who shared insights on effective communication and interview success.

The event, held in Maloney Hall, provided students with the opportunity to engage with representatives from a wide range of industries and organizations, including the Washington Wizards, EY, Kaplan, and Forvis Mazars. The evening began with mock interviews and transitioned to a networking reception, allowing students the chance to practice their elevator pitches, sharpen their communication skills, and put their preparation into practice through real conversations with employers.

Career Networking Night is one of the signature events hosted each semester by the Office of Career Development. In the weeks leading up to the event, students were encouraged to participate in resume reviews, update their LinkedIn profiles, and prepare questions for potential employers. These resources helped ensure that students arrived ready to make the most of the experience.
