Mary Kate Shields is a Marketing student from West Chester, PA. Mary Kate shares why she chose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School, and what advice she has for prospective students.

Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School?

"I chose to attend Catholic U and the Busch School because I knew I wanted to be some sort of force for good in the world, and I knew the Busch School could set me up for success. Catholic U supplemented my education with incredible opportunities to figure out what I was interested in, and I received great support from peers and professionals all along the way. My decision to attend has been something that's revealed itself to me each day I've attended Catholic U - I'm grateful for it."

What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?

"My favorite parts of being a Catholic U student have been the opportunity to connect with influential faculty, and the constant exposure to many on and off campus events and activities."

What advice would you give to prospective students?

"Ask questions, say YES to opportunities, and don't be afraid to try something new. Catholic University taught me many great lessons throughout my time as a student, and I promise in time it will teach them to you, too."
