David Zappe, Catholic U '26, is a Finance student from Andover, NJ. He accepted a job as a Financial Services Representative at Fidelity Investments.

Briefly describe your new job opportunity.

"I will be joining the Morristown wealth management team at Fidelity Investments. I will begin my career obtaining my Series 7 and Series 66 Broker licenses. Following my licenses I will begin working as a representative, taking care of any financial requests either in person or over the phone."

How did your Busch School and Catholic University education help you find this career path?

"My finance professors taught engaging classes that outlined the different career paths in finance. By the end of my sophomore year I knew what I wanted to apply for and how to do it."

What activities were you involved in during undergrad?

"I was apart of the Busch School Dean’s Student Advisory Council, Busch School Student Advancement Leadership Team, CUA Finance Institute, CUA on Wall Street, CUA International Business Club, and CUA Club Ice Hockey Goalie."

What were some highlights of your time at Catholic University?

"Some highlights include playing on the hockey team, attending numerous networking events, notably CUA on Wall Street 3 times, and meeting my best friends."

What advice do you have for students during their job search? 

"Start small and work your way up. Apply to small companies with CUA alumni connections. Make your resume tell a story."
