Jack McCarthy, Catholic '22, is an Accounting major from Cape May, NJ. He's interning as an Assurance Intern with CohnReznick.

When/how did you secure your internship?

"A campus recruiter sent me a message on Handshake, which led to a phone call later that week. I got the job offer on May 11, 2020 and accepted the offer May 12." 

What got you interested in that type of role?

"Starting my accounting career in public accounting was a decision I made because it allows for many doors to open if I choose to take a different path."

Are there any projects or aspects of the job that you have a special interest in?

"I have a strong interest in being able to travel, as well as working closely with a team." 

What advice do you have for students during their internship search?

"Be confident in your abilities, and don't stop searching if you get rejected from a few positions!"
