Jack Yoest, Assistant Professor Strategy, Management, and Operations in the Busch School, conducted a seminar for the Office of Personnel Management on The Federal Workforce and the Future of Virtual Education, "What an Effective Online Education Includes.”
The US Office of Personnel Management has embraced flexibility and forward thinking, and invited on-line practitioners to share best practices. These practices include focusing a triad of relationships on the learner: the Student and Faculty; the Student and Course Content; the Student and other Students. Asychronous technology platforms and synchronous video conferencing enable these three dynamic sets of interactions to promote learning.
The seminar was hosted by the Federal Academic Alliance, and the Busch School and the Metropolitan School have a working relationship with this institution.
