Ava Rieger is a Finance student from Medford, NJ. She shares why she chose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School, and what advice she has for prospective students.
Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School?
"I chose to attend Catholic University because I loved the campus and the great opportunities the Busch School had to offer. When I came to visit the school there was a panel of students talking about what the Busch School has done for them and how much the professors truly cared for their futures. After just one semester of being a part of the Busch School I can confidently say this is true. The professors push you to be your best not just in academics, but how you carry yourself as a person.
Another reason why I chose Catholic University was because of the campus. I really wanted to attend college at a city school, but also have the college campus feel. When I came to visit I knew this was perfect considering we have the metro right on campus that takes you right into downtown."
What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?
"My favorite thing about being a student at Catholic University are the people. I love being around my teammates, but also the people I meet from other organizations. Everyone is always so friendly and so approachable."
What advice would you give to prospective students?
"My advice I would give to prospective students is to take into account your surroundings when making a decision. Academics are important, but making sure you feel at home is just as important. You're going to be in a new dynamic and you want to make sure you're comfortable with where you're going to be living and the people you will be surrounded with."
