Isabel Doherty is a Business Exploratory student from Westford, MA. She shares why he chose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School, and what advice she has for prospective students.
Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School?
"I was looking to attend a Catholic school that had Division III athletics and a great business school. Catholic checked all of these boxes, and more! When I visited, I fell in love with the campus and extremely welcoming community. Having the opportunity to play on the Women’s Soccer team, take rigorous and fascinating classes with a Catholic perspective, participate in clubs and community service, and have easy access to DC by the Metro easily made Catholic University my top choice."
What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?
"After experiencing a semester at Catholic University, I think my favorite part about being a student here is living on campus in a suburban neighborhood, while having the ability to travel to the city for sight-seeing, museums, restaurants, and more! I also love how the professors, especially in the business school, have years of experience and knowledge that they are passionate to share with you to help you succeed and find your niche."
What advice would you give to prospective students?
"While deciding in between colleges, I ultimately ended up choosing Catholic University not only because the soccer team felt like a perfect fit, but also because I could easily imagine myself there. Physically imagining where you want to be, classes you will take, and interacting with the student body is a great exercise for determining which of your college options could suit you and your way of life the best."
