Owen Moynihan '25 is a Marketing and Sales student from North Kingstown, RI. He shares why he chose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School, and what advice he has for prospective students.
Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School?
"I wanted to school that looked at me as a person and not just another student at a big university. Catholic is small enough that you can dive into a super engaging community and invest in yourself to position yourself into a great career. The Busch School does a phenomenal job getting professors who have real-world experience in the fields that we students are trying to join. There is nothing more valuable than learning marketing from someone who has over 20 plus years in the marketing field."
Why do you want to be in the business world?
"I think that business is one of the most unique worlds that you can join. It is the only profession where every day will be a different challenge for you to tackle! The business world is a place where you are solving the question "How can I help you". As someone in this world, you can use money to help others."
What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?
"[My favorite part is] The community that Catholic has to offer."
What advice would you give to prospective students?
"Dive into every opportunity that you can! The four years you are here will go by very fast. Sit in front of the class, meet as many people as you can, and create a relationship with your professors! The time you spend doing the little things will help you as you develop in the business world and as a student. Everyone is in the same position as you so do what you can to differentiate yourself!"
