Erin Gardner '27 is a Markets and Political Economy student from Fredericksburg, VA. She shares why she chose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School, and what advice she has for prospective students.
Why did you choose to attend Catholic University and the Busch School?
"[I chose Catholic Univeristy and the Busch School] because of the classes grounded in Catholicism and business as a vocation while still having a quality preparation for the modern business world, as well as the community in the Busch School and around campus."
Why do you want to be in the business world?
"I want to do project management or event planning, as I'm someone who is organized and enjoys organizing, so I want to turn that interest into my job, as not only am I good at it, but I enjoy it and find it a valuable skill as well."
What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?
"The people, from the professors, the staff, and the students, everyone puts into the community and are always great to talk to, as I'm always learning from anyone I talk to in and out of classes, and truly love being a part of the community at Catholic."
What advice would you give to prospective students?
"Don't be afraid to get involved, there's always things to do, stuff to learn, and people to meet, and it can never hurt, so don't be afraid to push yourself to go to an event or take a class, even if you don't know anyone there."
