What is the mission of the club you lead?
The mission of the Business and Philosophy Club is to enrich students entering the business world through the virtue of understanding and a cultivated desire for the true, the good, and the beautiful.
How does this club add to the Busch School experience?
It is a unique opportunity to have conversations with professors about important questions and topics which normal business courses won’t cover, but which still impact one’s daily life.
What is your previous leadership experience?
I have been a student Senator for the class of 2026, participated in student government in high school, am an Eagle Scout, and have directed two plays.
Why did you decide to take a leadership role in this club?
I was invited to start the club by Dean Abela early last summer, to go along with the creation of a new business and philosophy dual degree. As the first student to sign up for this program, I feel that I am one of the most vocal advocates for this program. It’s the two best schools on campus united- what could be better?
What is your favorite part about being a leader?
My favorite part is stepping back and watching people demonstrate their own talents, perspectives, and passions. It’s all about creating an environment where others can thrive, and that’s very cool to watch.
Michael's Reminder:
You don’t have to be in the business school or the school of philosophy to be a part of this club- you just need a curious mind and a taste for good, lively conversation.
