Dominic Decker graduated in 2023 with a degree in Sales and HR Management and works currently as a B-Launch Sales Associate. He shares his insights on choosing the Busch School and thriving in the world of sales at Bloomberg Industry Group.
Why did you choose to attend the Busch School at The Catholic University of America?
I knew going into college I wanted to study business in some capacity. My dad started his own construction company and has always inspired me. I found that the Busch School at CUA combined my ambitions for business as well as my family’s values. It was a place where I knew I could not only grow in my knowledge but also as a person.
What were some highlights of your time in the Busch School and at Catholic University?
Joining the Sales Program at CUA was such an incredible moment for me. Mark Weber and all of the professors in the program have given me the confidence and networking experience to have a career in sales. They also provided me with a network of supporting faculty members and introduced me to companies like Bloomberg Industry Group which is continuing to shape me into a Sales Professional.
What have you enjoyed most about working in your position?
Working with a large group of young sales professionals has been my favorite part of being at Bloomberg Industry Group. It’s incredibly motivating and driving to be around people my age who are all competitive and working to get to the next level. Bloomberg also provides us with great support internally and it pushes us to be better every day.
What advice do you have for prospective students?
Enjoy every aspect and event that the Busch School has to offer. Lean on the faculty and each other to grow your network. Take advantage of the opportunities that are presented and don’t be afraid to say yes.
