Sophy Blenkhorn, a 2023 Sales graduate is thriving as an Associate Sales Development Representative at Deltek. She shares how determination and growth propelled her from forging lifelong connections at networking events to fearlessly embracing change. 

Why did you choose to attend the Busch School at The Catholic University of America?

Catholic University had visited my high school in Florida and had left a life long impression which led me to visit the Busch School that same fall! I transferred to the Busch School after attending a college in New York as I sought a more hands-on education focused on ethics and reason. 

What were some highlights of your time in the Busch School and at Catholic University?

During my time as a student at the Busch School, I actively participated in numerous networking events with my peers, mentors, professors, and local executives. These events were strategically designed to promote long-term growth within the business world, ultimately contributing to my current position. While I cherish many memories from school events and connecting with peers, my favorite memory is senior week!

What have you enjoyed most about working in your position?

During my time at Deltek, I found the most fulfillment in engaging in meaningful conversations and connecting with people.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Embrace new decisions and experiences without fear! After my freshman year, I made the decision to transfer to CUA because I truly believed it was the best place for me, do not be scared of going with your instincts or making changes!
