HR professor Tracy Phillips hosted an Executive Seminar titled, "Championing Dignity in the Workplace". Tracy Phillips, Busch School faculty and people strategy professional, led an interactive workshop on how teams can implement concepts in the Dignity of the Worker Framework to instill human dignity-centered best practices in HR management. The Dignity of the Worker Framework is the product of an ongoing research project by Tracy and her colleagues Dr. Max Torres and Dr. Anthony Cannizzaro. The Framework outlines how businesses can return to the objective goals of the products or services they offer and how leadership can work to maintain this company culture.
Randy Reardon, vice president of human resources corporate enterprise at LabCorp, discussed how the Way of St. Francis can be practiced within the organization, allowing dignity to flourish by encouraging all to bring faith to work. He discussed how he was able to infuse his Catholic faith into the company cultures he created while in leadership positions at different companies. He also delved into the differing tolerances of each company culture to virtue-based teamwork and how he was able to navigate these differences.
