Busch School Hosts Fall Family Business Consortium: A Day of Learning, Faith, and Connection
The Busch School of Business hosted its Fall Family Business Consortium, bringing together family entrepreneurs, alumni, and community members for a full day of learning, networking, and shared inspiration. The event, held in Maloney Hall, is one of the Busch School’s programs for engaging with the community and supporting the growth of local family-owned businesses. The Family Business Consortium is built on the mission of “growing together.” It unites family entrepreneurs around a shared understanding that, whether large or small, family businesses face unique challenges and opportunities. The consortium emphasizes that success is not only measured by strong companies, but by strong families. By providing free educational opportunities twice a year, the Busch School helps generations of family business leaders grow closer, wiser and more prosperous together.
The day began with Mass and a consecration to St. Joseph in the St. Michael the Archangel Chapel located in Maloney Hall, followed by coffee and conversation as guests arrived. Throughout the day, attendees heard from a lineup of distinguished speakers, including Francis Rooney, Chairman of Rooney Holdings and foreigner U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See; Frank and Joanna Anastasio of LGM Glass Designs; Duncan Taylor, Co-Founder and former CEO of TaylorMade; and Aurora Griffin, Managing Partner of LongeVC. A highlight of the afternoon was the Financial Capital Panel, featuring Guido Caranti of Aquinas Companies and Francisco Lara, Associate Director of the Family Business Consortium. Together, panelists explored strategies for sustaining both financial and family capital across generations. The event concluded with a reception, where attendees met and connected with alumni and shared reflections from the day.
Completely free and open to the public, the Family Business Consortium continues to serve as a bridge between the Busch School and the business community, offering education, faith, and fellowship to help businesses thrive in the fullest sense of the world.
