When did you develop a passion for your sport?
"I developed a passion for volleyball in 4th grade."
Why was it important to you to play that sport in college?
"Volleyball is a way that I am able to relieve stress, create friendships, and work hard towards my goals. I couldn’t imagine not playing in college."
What has your experience been like as a student-athlete in the Busch School?
"I have had a great experience so far being a student-athlete in the Busch School. I have had wonderful professors that understand if/when it is necessary to miss a class due to a game. Due to our coaches flexibility with practice time and classes, I have yet to miss a class due to volleyball."
What has your experience been like on your athletic team?
"My experience on the volleyball team has been great. I have become very close with all of my teammates and we have a great bond that shows on the court. My experience so far this year alone is amazing- it’s all up from here!"
Have you been able to take advantage of other opportunities off the field?
"Last semester I was able to participate in some service projects, and I played intramural soccer. This year, I have become apart of the Phi Sigma Eta honors program."
What advice do you have for prospective students looking to play a sport?
"Liking the team and coaching staff is an important piece of navigating the college search; they’ll be your family for the next 4 years. However, ask yourself 'Can I see myself actually going here if I wasn’t playing a sport?' Your team will be your family for the next four years, but the campus will be your home as well and it’s important that it feels like home to you."
