Emily Branchide, CatholicU '24, is a Sales and Operations Management student from Ivyland, PA. She accepted a job as an Account Manager at Gartner.

Briefly describe your new job opportunity.

"As an account manager, I will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and growth. I am looking forward to working with C-Suite Executives within the high-tech industry to connect them with Gartner research and solutions. Our strategic partnership enables them to facilitate growth and generate value."

How did your Busch School and Catholic University education help you find this career path?

"I was presented this opportunity through the Office of Career Development and the Sales Program. Once I was connected with a Gartner University Recruiter, who I still maintain a great relationship with to this day, I utilized the skills fostered throughout my Busch School education. I strongly believe my polished resume and interview techniques can be attributed to landing both the internship and full time role."

What activities were you involved in during undergrad?

"I was a 4-year student-athlete on the Women's Soccer team where I was a 3 time Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll Recipient. I was also involved in the Busch School Mentor Program, Sales Program Ambassadors, Dean's Student Advisory Council, and the Student Philanthropy Council. I have also participated in events such as the Special Olympics Polar Plunge and worked within the Athletics department as a student employee to ensure behind-the-scenes operations for game days are a great success!"

What were some highlights of your time at Catholic University?

"The connections, experiences, and memories I have made here have been some of my highlights during my time here. I have loved every second of being in a city like DC and exploring all the fun it brings with friends and family. I've also had the pleasure of representing CUA and competing at ICSC in Orlando, Florida in November 2022. I've been a finalist for our Sales Program sponsored sales competition the past couple of years and I am honored to have placed this year."

What advice do you have for students during their job search?

"Utilize your resources and connections! Everyone I have encountered has been more than willing to help me along the way and I am grateful to return the favor when I am given the chance. Trust the process too and be patient because often times it is not an instant outcome. Do your research on the company and tailor your responses to how you would be a great fit. It is also a good idea to have an experience log to easily pull from during your interviews too!"
