Henry Fleischacker, MSB '24, was an undergraduate English major at the University of Mary and has accepted a position as Area Manager with Amazon.
Briefly describe your new job opportunity.
"Area Managers help oversee day-to-day operations at Amazon centers. Typically, they help manage the floor of about 20-200 associates, depending on the location and circumstances. Area Managers will help with business analyses and innovations."
How did the MSB Program help you find and choose this career path?
"The MSB Program introduced the nature of operations and business leadership with a particular focus on the source of true respect and dignity of human persons, of business conduct, and of facing any challenges honestly and head-on. I had many opportunities to show management skills and growth through academic projects. "
Why did you choose to attend the Master of Science in Business degree?
"It was a combination of time, affordability, quality, and complementarity. I wanted a degree that could complement my bachelor's so as to switch careers. My bachelor's permitted me only so many options. Now with a master's, many more career doors have opened up. And this occurred in such a short span of time with high-quality class discussions, learnings, and course projects."
What were some highlights of your time with the program?
"Photographing career week, visiting the Capitol, best marketing-brief project in Fall semester thanks to the teamwork, top capstone team thanks to collaboration and team effort in Spring semester, the debates in the business law course, extreme presentation format, the rigor of the Fall accounting class, the World Bank visit, and...the Supreme Court tour!
