Hamberger is, most importantly, a person of faith, a husband, and a father. He is also an entrepreneur, investor, board member, and philanthropist whose personal and professional mission is to increase human flourishing through the vocation of business and innovative growth. With over 30 years of mission-driven leadership experience, Scott is a skilled strategic thinker and planner. He brings a particular talent for analysis and marketing innovation combined with outstanding communication skills as a public speaker and writer. These skills give him an ability to identify, plan, implement and articulate a strategic vision. He has deep experience in all of the key elements necessary for successful business growth: governance, business development strategy, business processes, infrastructure, and capital. Scott founded his first business, Fortessa Tableware Solutions, in 1993 while still in college, which he led from a garage start-up to global leadership within its industry and an approximate $100mm enterprise value. In 2022, Scott led the successful merger of Fortessa with Zwiesel Kristallglas of Germany to create a group with over $200mm in revenue and 1000 employees. Following that merger, Scott has followed a new path in pursuit of his mission. In partnership with his wife Megan, Scott continues his entrepreneurial passion with various businesses, including a highly innovative hydro-aeroponic greenhouse operation, a hospitality business, as well as livestock and other agricultural ventures. Scott and Megan invest in start-ups and micro-caps, leveraging Scott's experience and belief in business as a social good to support other entrepreneurs. In addition, both Scott and Megan serve as board members and leaders in both non-profit and for-profit entities with whom they enjoy sharing their experience. Together with Scott's mother, Rose Ann, and their children – Robbie, Michael, and Katie – they deploy charitable resources in strategic support of organizations that are focused on changing our culture for the better. Scott and Megan reside at Blue Valley Farm in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge, where they pursue a life of service focused on personal, spiritual, and professional growth. With their children and Rose Ann, Scott and Megan strive to provide a place for faith, family, and simplicity where all feel welcome. |
