In December 2016, The Catholic University of America's Busch School of Business and Economics and Boston’s ICIC announced they would collaborate to bring the Inner City Capital Connections program to Washington, D.C. for the first time. A cohort of more than 120 small businesses in the DC area will begin training and mentorship designed to help them grow and create great jobs in September, 2017. The CUA effort is being spearheaded by the Ciocca Center, under the leadership of co-founder Bob Keith.
The partnership, which includes a 4-year commitment from Catholic University, is part of a project the university has been incubating to develop enterprise solutions to poverty and to be a good neighbor to its fellow residents of the District of Columbia.
The Ciocca Center at the Busch School is excited that the university environment will bring a new dimension to the ICCC program by connecting small business owners with business students and expanding the program’s impact on the Washington D.C. community.
