Valerie Cousineau, MSB '20, has accepted a job as a Sales Representative for Zuzick & Associates. Below, Valerie shares her experiences in the program, and how it helped her to find her future:
Why I Joined the Program
"I joined the MSB Program because it is specifically designed for people with a liberal arts background. The program taught me practical ways to apply what I had learned undergrad to the business world like the importance of critical thinking, the significance of professional writing skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with others. These are just some of the many things the MSB Program taught me."
How the Program Helped Me Find My Career Path
"From the very beginning, the MSB Program emphasizes the importance of networking. Building relationships and connecting with others is an essential part to being successful. The MSB Program gave me confidence in myself to reach out to others, even if I did not personally know them yet. I was able to practice a lot of networking throughout my time in the program because it gave my cohort and I many opportunities to do so. It was through these opportunities that inspired confidence in myself to reach out to any company I had an interest. The program also helped me sell my brand through mastering the art of perfecting a resume, improving my LinkedIn profile, and interviewing skills."
My Highlights of the Program
"The main highlight of the program for me was the New York Trip. I loved being able to visit so many companies in different industries and meet so many cool people. Bonding with my class during that trip was so much fun! I also loved the lemonade project at the beginning of the semester. Working with a team and getting to know them as people was so much fun! It was also a really great introduction to the program and what we could expect from it, especially when it came to Field Team Study."
