Alex Cipolloni, MSB '21, has accepted a position as a Lobby Ambassador at The Ritz-Carlton. Below, Alex shares her experiences in the program, and how it helped her to find her future:

Briefly describe your new job opportunity.

"I will be acting as a liaison between our hotel guests and the rest of our hotel staff to provide a high-quality, top-tier service experience for all of our guests."

Why did you join the MSB Program?

"I joined the MSB program, because I was seeking a program that offers exceptional networking opportunities, knowledgeable faculty, and the skills and tools to complement my Psychology undergraduate degree." 

How did the MSB Program help you find this career path?

"Prior to joining the MSB Class of 2021, I lacked the confidence and leadership necessary for a career at such an esteemed company. However, through my interactions with some of the most intelligent faculty members, incredible classmates, and many others I’ve networked with through these past nine months, I’ve been able to grow and evolve so much as a business person. I am so grateful for so many of the individuals here that have guided me through my career path, especially Professor McHie, Professor Seegers, and MaryKate Conroy."

What were some highlights of your time with the program?

"Towards the end of the fall semester, a bunch of us in the program went to a viking bar together! It was awesome to spend time with my peers and bond further as a cohort!"

What advice do you have for students during their job search?

"Network! Network! Network! If there’s one thing I have gotten out of this program, it is to talk to as many people as possible. You never know who someone knows and connections are EVERYTHING! Do as many “informational” interviews as you can and always be prepared. As Professor McHie has told me many times, 'there is no such thing as an informational interview—everything is an interview'!"
