Ben Weitzel, MSB '21, has accepted a position as a Content Development Specialist at Hubspot. Below, Ben shares his experiences in the program, and how it helped him to find his future:

Briefly describe your new job opportunity.

"I'm joining the Sales Productivity + Enablement team, partnering with sales subject matter experts to help create the content, tools, processes, and education that remove friction and help our sales teams sell better."

Why did you join the MSB Program?

"I was not satisfied with my professional growth, and realized I needed to broaden my skills and knowledge to change my career trajectory. I knew I had the communication skills to succeed in business, but I wanted to gain the strategic and tactical skills to make an impact.

How did the MSB Program help you find this career path?

"I was introduced to my manager at my current internship (Margaux, an MSB alumni) during a mock interview session. She introduced me to HubSpot and when a position opened on her team, I knew that working at HubSpot on the legal team would be an incredibly formative professional experience."

What were some highlights of your time with the program?

"Internships were undoubtedly one of the best elements of the MSB program. Kicking off your training wheels, and getting hands on by practicing the skills I learned in the classroom was invaluable experience. I connected with so many great people, and really learned what I brought to the table in business. My intern roles at the Busch School and HubSpot helped me clearly visualize what the best career option was for me."

What advice do you have for students during their job search?

"Be open to anything. You might come into MSB with a solid idea of "what you want to be when you grow up", but in only a few months that can easily change. Embrace new opportunities and broaden your horizons. You will be surprised what you are capable of.
