Patrick O'Reilly, MSB '19, has accepted a position as a Sales Development Representative at MarkLogic. Below, Patrick shares his experiences in the program, and how it helped him to find his future:

Why I Joined the Program

"I joined the MSB program because I wanted the practical business knowledge and skills that if offers. After finishing my undergraduate degree in Political Science, I felt I had received a good education, but still lacked a certain practical skill set that I knew would help me to succeed in my career. The MSB Program at The Catholic University of America, provided the opportunity I was searching for."

How the Program Helped Me Find My Career Path

"The program has helped me prepare for my career path by providing knowledge of the tools and language of business, as well as hands on experience in a real working environment. In addition, the program's knowledgeable faculty have shared the experiences of many of their challenges and successes in their careers which will be invaluable going forward."

My Highlights of the Program

"Some highlights of the program for me include Operations Management and Managing the Enterprise. Each of these classes provided a wealth of practical knowledge that will be indispensable to me as I navigate my career. The many shared stories and experiences from our faculty were certainly a highlight as well. Finally, the structure of the program allowed myself and my classmates to experience the foundational building blocks of business together, in such a way that has brought us together and has made the whole experience outstanding."
