Paul Asuncion, MSB '19, has accepted a position as an "Electrical Designer" at Interface Engineering. Below, Paul shares his experiences in the program, and how it helped him to find his future:

Why I Joined the Program

"I joined the MSB program because I wanted business experience for my engineering company. I did not want to go through a traditional MBA program that takes longer and requires a business background. It also was important for me to get this degree now because I know of a few people who pursued a business degree a few years down the road and it was much harder for them because they have families, work full-time, and have not been in school for a few years."

How the Program Helped Me Find My Career Path

"I already knew what career I wanted to pursue; however, the MSB program helped me sharpen the skills I need outside of electrical engineering. Some of the skills I learned were proper communication, management, and consulting. I need these because my career in the MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) engineering industry requires that we work with companies in civil engineering, structural engineering, and architecture when designing buildings like offices, apartments, and schools."

My Highlights of the Program

"Aside from all the great and unique classes and professors, my favorite parts of the program include all the perks we get. Throughout the year, we met with multiple companies, took field trips, and got free dinner (with beer and wine) when we had great guest lecturers."
