Michael Matheson Miller is a Research Fellow at the Acton Institute and the Director and Producer of the award-winning documentary film, Poverty, Inc. He speaks extensively on themes of international development, entrepreneurship, political economy, social philosophy and culture and has directed and produced two other video series including the award winning PovertyCure DVD Series. Michael has also been the Director of Media, and the Director of Programs and International at the Acton Institute.
Before coming to Acton he taught philosophy and political science at Ave Maria College in Nicaragua and was the chair of the philosophy and theology department. Michael holds graduate degrees in philosophy, international development, and international business. He has 10 years of international experience and has lived and traveled in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. He has been featured on FOX Business, CNBC, and numerous radio shows and has appeared in various video curricula including Doing the Right Thing. Michael was the director and host of the PovertyCure DVD Series and has been published in The New York Post, The Washington Times, The LA Daily News, The Detroit News, and Real Clear Politics. He serves on the boards of the Dietrich von Hildebrand Project, Sacred Heart Academy and the Michigan Ballet Academy.
