


James Garrett, CatholicU '25, is a Sales and Marketing student from Rockville Centre, New York. He accepted a job as an Equipment Sales Representative at Firematics.
Briefly describe your new job opportunity.
"At this job, I will be selling fire equipment to volunteer firefighters. Not only the protective equipment they wear, but also everything else that comes with it, such as MSA Safety, Hurst rescue tools, and many more!"
How did your Busch School and Catholic University education help you find this career path?
"My time at the Busch School played a pivotal role in shaping my decision to have a sales career. From the hands-on coursework and casework to the strong emphasis on ethical leadership and relationship building, to finally having the guidance of many professors in the Busch School to help me understand my strengths and how I can succeed in the real world using them."
What activities were you involved in during undergrad?
"Working for Housing Services."
What were some highlights of your time at Catholic University?
"Some of my highlights at Catholic University were always attending the Cardinal Palooza, all the sales socials, and, finally, each of the professors I have had that helped me shape myself into the man I am today!"
