Fr. Ryan Ruiz was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in May of 2008. He currently serves as Dean of the School of Theology, Director of Liturgy, Associate Professor of Liturgy and Sacraments, and formation faculty member at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology, Cincinnati. Prior to this, Fr. Ruiz served as parochial vicar of Incarnation Parish in Centerville, Ohio (2008-2011) and was then assigned to graduate studies in Rome, Italy (2011-2016), where he received his doctorate in Sacred Liturgy (S.L.D.) from the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of Sant’Anselmo in Rome. In January 2020 Fr. Ruiz was appointed to serve as a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship. He is a member of the Society for Catholic Liturgy, a scholarly and professional organization for the promotion of the sacred liturgy, and sits on various committees for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
