John Mino joined the Busch School of Business in 2021 as a Fellow with the school’s Family Business Initiative and a lecturer in the school’s Strategy, Management and Operations area. John’s involvement in the Busch School includes curricular development for the school’s family business co-specialization, and leadership in developing the school’s new Family Business Consortium.
John is an attorney with over thirty years of experience counseling private equity funds on formation and investor matters, and closely held clients on mergers, acquisitions and capital raising. He also provides counsel to venture capital and buyout funds, e-commerce start-up companies, and investors in such funds and companies. John’s experience also includes business financing, private placements, general real estate matters and advising domestic and international companies on corporate structuring. John is a retired partner at Calfee, where he established the firm’s Washington, DC office.
John holds a bachelor's degree in Foreign Service and a juris doctorate from Georgetown University.
