  • J Patrick Kearns spent 48 years in the investment business, most recently leading a wealth management team focused on a faith-based approach for both Catholic institutions and high net worth individuals. Other highlights of his career include home office and regional marketing roles for Merrill Lynch, branch management positions in St Louis, Chicago, and Washington DC with various major firms. Pat also founded and served as CEO of a registered Investment advisory firm and small broker/dealer. In addition, Pat served as Vice President- Marketing and Investor Relations for a company that went public during his time there. Throughout his career, Pat received numerous company and industry awards for outstanding achievements in each of his various roles.

    Kearns graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance and Business Economics. He also graduated from Notre Dame’s Executive Leadership Program. He earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst designation through the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

    Having served on numerous non-profit Boards, Kearns currently is on the Boards of the Religious Freedom Institute, the Cardinal Newman Society, and the Board of Visitors of the Institute for Human Ecology at The Catholic University of America.

    Pat and his wife, Jayne, split their time between their farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and their winter home in Ave Maria, Florida. They have five adult children and fifteen grandchildren thus far.
